:: About Glue ::
Glue magazine was established in 2003.It is published twice a year, at the beginning of each semester in September and January.The circulation is 5,500 copies per issue and it is distributed on the campuses of Algonquin College, Carleton University and the University of Ottawa.
Glue magazine is dedicated to reflecting the experiences of Ottawa college and university students on their campuses and in the city. Unlike some more traditional student magazines, Glue’s focus is to look beyond Ottawa’s familiar postcard image to uncover how and where students find a place and a voice in the community.
The magazine is a joint group effort consisting of Journalism students and Advertising students, working together to create a personalized student publication. The journalism students provide the editorial content, also laying out the magazine. The advertising students sell the advertising space as well as design and produce the ads, develop promotional activities to increase readership and also manage the website.
As of two years ago, we were ever so grateful to have a group of hard working multimedia students to create a web site for us (www.gluemag.ca). Ever since we have been able to promote our events through the web site as well as communicating new information to the students as well as our events to come.
